It is at the north of Quito, the capital city. It is an amazing site where you can stand on both hemispheres visiting a nice sundial on the Equator or have a unforgetable experience climbing the Cayambe volcano, the only one on 0 latitud. Enjoy our traditional food as biscuits, guinea pig and share with local families while you learn about their customs, the nature and relax.

Cayambe is an important site form you can travel to other nice places to enjoy as well. From here you can get in 1 hour to important archaelogical site like Pamabamarca, the largest in Sount America, the hot springs of the hided community of Oyacachi or moving to the north you find the beautiful places of Imbabura, the lakes, mountains, the famous Ponchos marketd and more.
In short distances and from the same site you can visit many places, having different amazing experiences, so Cayambe is just waiting for you!!!

From Cayambe to Otavalo: Otavalo is the hot spot in south america because the indian market, a nice place with full history surrounding it that you can enjoy just travelling 30 minutes from Cayambe, that means you can have more time to visit other places in the area very relaxed and not in a full day tour.

WHAT WE OFFER YOU
Amazing highlands: Latitude 0 - Pambamarca - Oyacachi
- Early in the morning we can visit the monument to the middle of the world Quitsato an d learn about the history of the Equator and more interesting information, having finally a nice picture on the both hemispheres. After this we go to Quito Loma archaelogical site, part of Pambamarca, the largest ancient site in Ecuador and south america, during this time we can see incredible landscapes of the Andes, communities and their activities. In the place we walk up the archaelogical site listening the historical information of this place and after everything we can enjoy of a local and healthy "snack".
We continue travelling to Oyacachi, we stop a security control of the National Park Cayambe Coca to walk down to the community two hours by an ancient road. This time will be full of experiences with the nature. While in the community we'll set up our tends into the area of hot springs to relax. In the afternoon a local fresh food will be great for the end of this excellent day!!

An amazing experience with our communities
- Share with local families of the Andes can be an unforgetable experience because you will try a differente way to eat, to live and feel the life. In Cayambe there is a site named El Vicundo where local families decided to be self sustainable, in this place you can participate of agriculture and more interesting things you can do according your time or otherwise you can stay there some days or months if you have projects you would like to share. Remember that the communitarian tourism is a way to share between people, "randy, randy" in quichua or in english is a way to say if I give you something, you give me back something in a cordial coexistence with people and nature.

From the Equator to the province of lakes
- During the morning we visit the sundial of the Equator having a nice time to know our history and obviously a nice picture on the both hemispheres, After this we go to Cayambe the town of biscuits to enjoy of this tradicional bread and other delicious things.Now we are ready to get to Imbabura, during this time we'll stop in a nice place where you have an excellente landscape of San Pablo Lake and the Taita Imbabura mountain. After this we continue to San Rafael to visit a local enterprise where people of community work making handicrafts of totora a native plant, you can participate of this experience being a handmaker!!! After this we get to Otavalo where you can have time to buy and enjoy of the things you can find in the most famous indian market of South America. With a good time we go directly to Cotacachi for lunch and finally to Cuicocha lakes for a trip on boat!!! A day for relax!!!
